It's nearly the end of barbecue season (summer, where did you go?). If you're trying to decide what treat to enjoy fresh off the grill before fall arrives, should you go with a hamburger or a hot dog? Stick with the hamburger. "Even if you get the fat-free hot dogs, they're going to have quite a bit of salt in them," says dietitian Heather Rasmussen, Ph.D., of the Women’s Heart Center at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. "And salt raises blood pressure, which contributes to heart disease." Just make sure you keep your burger on the small side—4 ounces or less with no cheese will still satisfy.
