gyro vs. pizzaIf you're craving a savory snack at a fair or festival this summer, which should you choose: a gyro or an individual cheese pan pizza?

Though they both have about the same number of calories -- about 670 for the pizza and 680 for the gyro -- the gyro is the worse choice because of the fat content, says registered dietitian Dawn Jackson Blatner. It has 40 grams of fat versus 24 grams in the pizza! "Plus, the pizza has a slight nutritional edge since its cheese offers a nice dose of calcium and its tomato sauce contains the anticancer compound lycopene," Blatner says.
