Hi everyone, Guess what most of us likely searched for in the blogosphere today? Recipes. Seriously. I sit here in awe of the fact that recipes, food and recipes, on a day-to-day basis beat the news that Molly Ringwald is now fortysomething, Newt "Glitter" Gingrich's presidential campaign, American Idol Recaps of the Top Three, and particularly depressing news that the amazing and gifted Maria Shriver was married to the Creepinator. And yet, recipes rule. How do I know this? As part of our annual research of women and social media, we learned that recipes are the #1 topic read by BlogHer's 25-million-strong community. And we're picky too :) As my Co-founders Elisa Camahort Page and Jory Des Jardins will share at the opening of BlogHer Food '11 in Atlanta tomorrow, we BlogHers are - 40 percent: Interested in gourmet cooking - 48 percent: Purchase fat-free foods - 46 percent: More likely to purchase lactose-free foods - 25 percent: Buy organic or natural foods Even if you won't be able to join us in Atlanta, you don't have to miss a thing! If you want to hear the latest on foodie blog voices, visuals, (videos, photography, mobile), vocation (blog better) and vittles (recipe, recipe, recipe), you can join us virtually here. Enjoy! See you at #BlogHerFood. |
